Bhatkal: Two arrested from Sagar road for cattle trafficking

Bhatkal 30 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Police on Sunday detained two persons allegedly while trafficking cattle in the town at Gulmi cross of Sagar road in the wee hours of 29 July.
The detained have been identified as Irfan Khan (34), a resident of Magdoom Colony and Sanahulla Sheikh(22), a resident of Ganesh Nagar.
According to the sources, around 2:00 am in the morning, Bhatkal Rural PSI Ravi GA, who was on his patrolling noticed the accused in their Mahindra Pickup vehicle and stopped them for checking the documents, upon checking, two buffalo, a bull, and a calf were recovered from the vehicle without any legal documents of selling or purchasing the animals, following which both the accused were arrested.
The police also seized the vehicle in which they were transporting the cattle, a case has been registered at Bhatkal Rural police station and further investigations are underway.
