Bhatkal: Two arrested by forest officials for hunting birds

Bhatkal 21 Nov 2017: Two youngsters were on Monday evening arrested by the local Forest officials for allegedly hunting birds in Kokti Nagar area of Bhatkal.
The arrested have been identified as Ashaar Sada and Gufran Sada, both residents of Maghdoom colony Bhatkal. The forest officials recovered four birds alive and two birds were reportedly killed.
As per the reports the locals of Kokti Nagar area had allegedly warned the youngsters to not to hunt down birds a few days back, but despite the warning when they didn't stop, the locals laid a trap to catch hold of them and caught them red-handed before handing them over to the Forest officials.
Ashaar and Gufraan both were booked under Wildlife Act, and were produced before the magistrate at around 11.30 pm on Monday. The magistrate then asked them to be presented on Tuesday morning.
