Bhatkal town police calls peace meeting ahead of Hindu 'Jatra' festival; Tanzeem offers full co-operation in maintaining peace

Bhatkal 20 March 2018: Ahead of the Chenna Pattana Hanumanta Temple Jatre the Bhatkal town police on Tuesday called a peace meeting IB.

On the occasion President of Namadhari community MR Naik addressed the event and said that the Jatre at Bhatkal should be peaceful, devotional and it must be a celebration for all communities. And requested people to act as the care takers of youth and their sentiments.

Bhatkal Tahsildar VN Bhatkar, while addressing the meet said that the Jatra has to be celebrated with the co operation between people from both Hindus as well as Muslims communities.

General Secretary of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Altaf Kharuri addressed the conference and spoke about the unity between Hindus and Muslims in any celebrations and offered the Hindu brothers to provide required help in order to peacefully celebrate the Jatra celebration.

Asistant Comissioner Manjunath and DySP Valintine D’souza also spoke in the conference and addressed the event.

On this occasion CPI KL Ganesh, Temple administrative head Ganesh Moger, Namadhari Samaj senior leader AB Naik, President of Namadhari Samaj MR Naik, Panchayat members, Police officials and others were present here.
