Bhatkal to host four-day ‘Bhatkal Utsav’ from December 25

Bhatkal: 23 Dec,2025 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal will host a four-day cultural and community festival titled Bhatkal Utsav from December 25 to 28 at Kazia Compound, along NH-66. The event is being organised by the Kriyashila Geleyaara Sangha and is described by the organisers as a first-of-its-kind festival in the town.

 

Details of the event were shared during a press conference held at a private hotel in Bhatkal.

 

Addressing the media, association president Ramesh Kharvi said the festival would run daily from 10 am to 11 pm and would feature a mix of cultural programmes, sports events and exhibitions aimed at attracting people of all age groups.

 

Festival coordinator Shrikant Naik said the event would include an agriculture and organic vegetables fair, food stalls, saree and clothing exhibition, fish fair, industrial information centre, ice cream stalls, cottage industry products exhibition, jackfruit fair, an amusement park for children and volleyball matches.

 

He said the festival would be inaugurated by Uttara Kannada district in-charge minister Mankal Vaidya. The programme schedule also includes music and dance performances by popular Kannada artists, a youth fair, folk programmes and platforms for children to showcase their talents.

 

The organisers have appealed to the public to participate in large numbers and make the festival a success.

 

Bhatkal Block Congress president Venkatesh Naik, Nazeer Kashimji, fairs coordinator Sridhar Maruvante and members of the Kriyashila Geleyaara Sangha were present at the press conference.
