Bhatkal to finally get new drainage pipeline

Bhatkallys News Service Bhatkal 19 March 2017: Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya today announced that the Karnataka Government has sanctioned Rs. 200 crore to create a new capacity in Bhatkal's underground drainage system. He further added that a total of Rs. 865.41 crores were sanctioned for the underground drainage system across the state from which a total of Rs. 200 crores have been allotted to Bhatkal. Vaidya further added that Chief Minister Siddaramiah on his visit to Bhatkal during Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem centenary celebrations had promised to take up the issue during the budget session in assembly, and has successfully delivered on his words. Mankal Vaidya also thanked Chief minister on behalf of the people of Bhatkal for sanctioning the amount. The announcement comes as a big relief to the people of Bhatkal after several requests were made to the government over the last five years.
