Bhatkal 22 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal TMC President Sadiq Matta, on Sunday confirmed that the quality of water supplied by TMC in localities like Nawayath Colony and Kargedde is now clean and usable, after it was reported to be not up to mark and usable earlier this month.
Speaking to Bhatkallys.com Sadiq said "The issue was resolved within two days, and the water that is supplied by TMC is clean and usable, we have not received any complaints thereon".
Sadiq also cleared that the quality of water supplied by TMC was always clean, and that replacement of damaged pipes and repair works led to the water being muddy and unclean.
"There was no question about the quality of water that is supplied by TMC, we ensure all the parameters are checked regularly and we keep an special check on the quality of the water, the complaints we received earlier this month was a result of repair works and replacement of damaged pipes in those areas, it happens every time we carry out repair work and then it is resolved in time" Sadiq added.
Bhatkallys.com also cross checked the claims by the TMC Presidents with the residents of Nawayath Colony and Kargedde and received positive feedback from them about the quality of water now.
Residents earlier this month had questioned the quality of water supplied by TMC as muddy water made its way for a few days from TMC taps, a few residents had went on to alleged that the water was being supplied directly from Kadvinkatte dam without filtering, a claim that was rubbished by the TMC officials then.
