Bhatkal 30 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Town Municipal Council (TMC) Chief Officer Devraj and other TMC personnel on Saturday visited Bhatkal fish market near old bus stand here and requested the fish vendors to shift their businesses to newly constructed fish market on Taluka hospital road near Sunday market of Bhatkal which was inaugurated by District in-charge minister RV Deshpande, earlier in November. TMC had sought help from current fish market's contractor Khaja and had asked him to inform the fish vendors to shift their businesses to the new building. If we change our location, we will lose lots of customer and it will be very difficult for us to sustain” said a woman who sell fishes here. "We have constructed a hygienic and sterile fish market using the funds from Karavali development project. And it consist all the basic felicities and also potentials to attract customers. As it is the orders from the Government we need to follow it” Devraj added. "If there is any problem you can bring it to the notice of Town Municipality council” –he added.
