Bhatkal TMC delegation meet CM, Ministers for development work

Bhatkallys.com News Service | March 26,2017 BHATKAL - Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told the visiting delegation of Bhatkal Town Municipal Council that Rs. 150 crore has been allotted for the UGD project for Bhatkal town. It may be recalled that the State Budget 2017 had sanctioned a total of 27 schemes for the state at a cost of Rs. 865.41 crore (14 water supply and 13 drainage schemes) to be completed the same during 2017-18. And one of the drainage schemes is meant for Bhatkal. The six-member delegation led by Matta Sadique, president of Bhatkal TMC, met the CM and two other Ministers, R.V. Deshpande, Large and Medium Scale Industries Minister and Eshwar Khandre, Municipal Administration Minister separately. The team was accompanied by local MLA Mankal Vaidya. The TMC president submitted memorandum each to the CM and the two Ministers. The memorandum demanded that adequate funds to be released for different development works which the TMC has envisioned to take them up in near future. It also demanded that extra staff to be provided to the TMC as shortage of staff hampers work. Talking exclusively to bhatkallys.com, Sadiq Matta thanked the local MLA for accompanying with the delegation to the CM and the Ministers and for extending his support for TMC's cause. Sadique has appealed to all organisations and general public to support TMC in its mission to develop Bhatkal.
