Bhatkal: Three news reporters comes together to find family of an unidentified man found unconscious; social media posts helps the cause

Bhatkal 3 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A small effort from a local news reporters, of circulating a message on social media groups won many hearts and applause from local social workers and residents as his effort was instrumental in help reach the family of a old man who was found in a unconscious state near the car stand of Bhatkal. Shrinath Thirumaleshwara Hegde (44), a resident of Sirsi, a driver of heavy vehicles was found lying unconscious near Bhatkal car stand when he was reportedly noticed by a local who informed news reporters(Manju Naik, daily reporter of Bhavana TV, Prasanna Bhat of Kannada Janan Taranga and Udaya Naik of Vismaya TV) about him on August 1. The man was then shifted to Taluka Government Hospital Bhatkal for treatment and was provided with food and clothes by reporters. As his picture was circulated on social media groups seeking help in finding his family, reports emerged that the man was seen begging at Sunday market citing that he had not had food for several days. On Friday 3 August, after noticing the online posts, the family of the Shrinath contacted the reporters and visited Bhatkal to take him back home.
