Bhatkal: Third grade student dies after falling into Belli River

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 19 March 2018: A Third grade student of Govt. Kannada Medium School of Belli, Ajay Narasimha Moger (9) died after falling into the Belli river here in Bhatkal on Sunday. According to the reprots Ajay was playing around the river on Sunday, marking the weekly holiday of the school, when he suddenly slipped and fell into the river. Locals immediately got in to the act and made unsuccessful attempts of saving the kid. He was reported dead before he was rescued and brought to the shores. The dead body of the kid was shifted to Bhatkal Taluka Government Hospital for post-mortem and a case was registered at the Bhatkal Rural Police Station.
