Bhatkal: Theft in three shops in Venkatapur, culprits still on the run

Bhatkallys News Service Bhatkal 28 March 2017: Burglars broke into three different shops overnight at Venkatapur area of Bhatkal and decamped with cash and other assets on the prevailing night of Tuesday. As per the reports, a Hotel, a General Store, and an textile shop were robbed.Preliminary investigations revealed that the burglars gained entry into the shops from the terrace to get their hands on the cash and other assets. An estimated 30 sets of new Sarees have been stolen from the textile shop, and cash from the other two shops. The incident came to light on Friday morning only when the employees opened the store. The police were alerted. Police is investigating the case but no arrest has been done so far.
