Bhatkal: 12 December 2025 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has uploaded the model question papers and blueprints for the 2025–26 SSLC exams on its official website, but only for Kannada and English mediums. As a result, thousands of Urdu-medium students have been left out completely, prompting the All India Ideal Teachers Association (AIITA), Karnataka chapter, to urge the board to release the same for Urdu-medium students without delay.
In a representation submitted to the Director, AIITA Karnataka president Muhammad Raza Manvi stated that while Kannada and English-medium students are receiving academic support through these model papers, denying the same to Urdu-medium students creates educational inequality. He said minority students are facing injustice due to this neglect. The absence of learning resources has also created anxiety and dissatisfaction among parents and students. Every year, a substantial number of Urdu-medium students appear for the SSLC exams, and the lack of equal study material directly affects their preparation, he said.
AIITA has requested the board to immediately release model question papers and blueprints for Urdu medium on its website. The association has asked the department to ensure Urdu-medium students receive the same academic support as those in Kannada and English mediums. It stressed that urgent action is required to provide equal opportunities to Urdu-medium students across the state.
AIITA Karnataka has also urged the state’s education department to ensure equal access to education and learning resources for all mediums of instruction.
