Bhatkal: Tanzeem delegation meets Muzammil Kazia and Inayathullah Shabandri requesting them to withdraw resignation

Bhatkal 22 June 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A delegation of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal on Wednesday met its president Muzammil Kazia, requesting him to withdraw his resignation and take back the charge of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem. Muzammil Kazia, who had submitted his resignation as the President of Tanzeem on 12 May owing to the public outrage and pressure after the Karnataka Assembly Elections, initially declined the request of the delegation and expressed his displeasure over the incident wherein a bunch of youngsters pressurized the President of Tanzeem to resign from his post. However, on the repeated request of the delegation on Wednesday, Muzammil Kazia agreed to withdraw his resignation in the interest of community’s welfare. Similarly, the delegation also met Vice President Inayathullah Shabandri, who had also submitted his resignation in a similar manner and requested him to withdraw his nomination too, to which Inayathullah sought more time to decide on the issue, the delegation however in a press release expressed their belief that he too will withdraw his resignation and will take the charge of his post once again. The incident of May 12, had led to severe criticism of the youngsters involved in pressurizing the president and vice president, and several local and gulf based Jamats had written to Tanzeem condemning the incident and urging the organization to reject the resignation. It is to be noted that, in a meeting of executive members, held on June 02, the resignation letters of both the leaders were presented, where the executive members condemned the May 12 incident and unanimously rejected the resignation letters, and it was decided in the meeting that a delegation under the leadership of Vice President II Jafar Mohtesham shall meet both the leaders and request them to take back the resignation.
