Bhatkal Tanzeem delegation meets DC

Bhatkal – 16 Dec 2012: Bhatkal Majlis Islah wa Tanzeem delegation led by its General Secretary, Mr Altaf Kharuri met Uttara Kannada DC, Ms Imkongla Jamir in Kumta and discussed about the National Highway widening project. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Karuri put forth Bhatkalli people's viewpoint on this project. He strongly opposed the highway bypass plan saying that it will pose environmental threat and it will affect progress of Bhatkal town. He also demanded reduction in width from 60 meters to 43 meters. On this occasion Tanzeem vice-preseident Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Mr Khaleelur Rehman Muniri, Mr Sadique Naity, Moulana Yasir Barmawar, Mr Yunus Ruknuddin and others were present.
