Bhatkal Taluka records 79.92% results in SSLC Board examination, Taluka topper scores an amazing 99.36%

Bhatkal 14 May 2017: Bhatkal Taluka has recorded 79.92% passing result in recently announced SSLC Board examination results. Apeksha Manoj of RNS High school bagged the top-spot of Bhatkal Taluka by scoring 99.36% aggregate results while Poorvi Manjunath Naik of Anand Ashram convent school claimed second spot with an aggregate score of 99.20%, the third spot was shared jointly by Shridhar Sheth of Anand Ashram Convent school and CR Smitha of St. Thomas school, both of whom scored 98.56%.
Jamia Jali Govt. School remained the only school with 100% pass percentage where all the thirteen students who attempted the exams cleared in first go. Breaking the trend this year the Govt. Schools of the Taluka has outranked the private schools in term of the results. 74 of the 83 students from two of the boarding schools of the Taluka cleared the exams. While from the 12 Govt. Schools 423 of the 496 students cleared the examinations making it an 85.28% results for the Govt. Schools. 778 students from 9 charitable schools attempted the exams of which 554 successfully cleared it with an overall result of 71.21%. While 649 of 770 students from 14 Non-Charitable schools cleared the exams with an overall pass percentage of 84.29%.
