Bhatkal Tahsildar VN Bhatkar calls meeting with local community leaders; discusses arrangements for Tipu Jayanti

Bhatkal Tahsildar VN Bhatkar, called a meeting with community leaders and officials of several departments including police department to check the preparations of the Taluka administration for Tipu Jayanti that will be celebrated on November 10, to mark the birth anniversary of historic ruler of Karnataka (then Mysore) Tipu Sultan. Several community leaders present at the meeting urged the Tahsildar to organize the event at a public place to acknowledge the developments and achievements of the ruler who is considered to be one of the greatest ruler in Indian history. Tahsildar after listening to the pleas of organizing the event at a public place added that he will come to a conclusion after consulting Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla, as he was not present at the meeting. Bhatkal Dy.SP Valentine D’Souza, CPI Ganesh KL, TMC President Sadiq Matta, Tanzeem Vice President Sadiq Matta, Moulana Yasir Barmawar, Manazer Sukri and others were present at the meeting.
