Bhatkal Swabhiman Trust staged protest against police crackdown on Ramdev

Bhatkal - 07 June 2011: Bhatkal Swabhiman Trust in association with BJP, Seva Vahini, Ram Sene and HJV yesterday held a protest rally here in Bhatkal against police crackdown on Baba Ramdev camp at Delhi's Ramlila ground. The protestors gathered at Tahsildar office and before proceeding to Assistant Commissioner's office, formed a human chain at Shamsuddin circle to show solidarity with Baba Ramdev.

In their letter to the president, they termed police action as barbaric and compared this action with that of British atrocities against Indians and demanded resignation of central government.

On this occasion Mr Surendra Shanbhag - President Seva Vahini, HJV's Gonda Naik, Rama Sene's Shankar Naik, Bhatkal unit president of BJP Mr Dinesh Naik and several others were present.
