Bhatkal: Sneha special school's student, Yaseer Arafat helps Karnataka team win National Special Olympics in floor ball

Bhatkal 19 November 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Yaseer Arafat, a student of Sneha Special School, Bhatkal was part of a team which represented Karnataka state in floor ball game at the National Special Olympics held at Bhatkal between November 10-16, 2018.
As a matter of pride team Karnataka emerged the winners at the National Special Olympics while 21 year old Yaseer, remained a important member of the team and contributed in team's victory.
Speaking to Bhatkallys.com founder and Head Mistress of Sneha Special School Malati Udyawar expressed her happiness over the victory of Karnataka team and congratulated Yaseer on the achievement.
A zonal level selection round was organised at Manipal in October, where special students from Udupi, Dakshin Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Shimoga and Chikmagalur district participated for trials, followed by state level selection for the Karnataka team that would represent Karnataka at the National Special Olympics. Yaseer Arafat, remained the only student from Uttara Kannada district to be selected for the state team.
Interestingly, another student from Sneha Special School Sayed Yaseen, has been selected for another National level games where he will represent Karnataka team in floor hockey at Patiala Punjab, later this month.
