Bhatkal: Snake rescuer fells prey to reptile's bite, hospitalized

Bhatkal 4 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A local youth has been hospitalized after being bitten by a snake while attempting to get hold of it at Magdoom colony of Bhatkal here on Monday late night.
The victim has been identified as Abdul Mueez, a resident of Magdoom colony of Bhatkal.
Abdul Mueez, a local youth is a skilled snake rescuer, however, on Monday night when Abdul was informed about a snake that had intruded a house, Abdul while attempting to rescue the reptile fell victim to its bite.
He was soon rushed to Taluka Government Hospital Bhatkal, and was later shifted to Udupi district hospital for further treatment.
Another snake rescuer and expert of Bhatkal, Misbah-ul-Haq Shaikh, who is also a close friend of Abdul Mueez informed Bhatkallys.com that Abdul has responded well to the treatment in hospital and is expected to be discharged from hospital on Wednesday.
TMC President Matta Sadiq, Misbah Shaikh and others were present with the victim at Bhatkal Government Hospital before the victim was shifted to Udupi.
