Bhatkal: Shareholders demands hike in dividend during 46th annual general meeting of PLD Bank

Bhatkal 23 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Share holders of Bhatkal PLD bank on Saturday presented a proposal for a hike in dividend of their shares during the 46th Annual General Meeting held here at Nichalamakki temple of Arsikeri of Bhatkal Taluka. In the meeting the share holders urged that “The shareholders of other financial institutions of the Taluka are being paid with more than 10% of dividend on their shares, so to upheld the prestige of the bank, hike in dividend of the shares is required” Among the shareholders, Narayan Yaji during the meeting presented a proposal of hike in the dividend of the shares owned by the share holders of the bank. The retired Tahsildar V.M. Naik who is also the shareholder of the bank gave his support regarding the proposal. Responding to the proposal presented, President of PLD Bank Bhatkal MLA Sunil Naik said “Thinking on the perspective of the Bank’s profitability, the proposal has to be discussed with the Bank administration and also the higher officials. Soon we would come to a conclusion after considering all the possibilities” he added. Appointment of office bearers were also discussed during the meeting. Bank vice-president Gayatri Naik, Share holders, Directors including Erappa Gardikar, Manjunath Naik, Suresh Naik, Santosh Naik, Manjappa Naik Eshwar Naik, Manju Moger and others were present during the meeting.
