Bhatkal: Shams student Abdul Latif Shaikh quaifies for State level chess competition

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 19 Sept 2017: Abdul Latif Shaikh, a grade X student of Shams English Medium School Bhatkal secured first place at the district level chess competition and eventually is selected to play at the state level chess championship, dates of which is expected to be out soon. Abdul, earlier won the top position at the Taluka level last week after which he was selected for the District level games mainly organized by North Kanara Departmental Sports Association. School administration including School secretary Talha Siddibapa, Principal Fahmida, his trainer Mahesh Naik and other staff wished a 'thumping victory' at the State level games for him to represent the school at the National level games.
