Bhatkal: Shams School students secures second and fourth place at Rural IT quiz in Dharwad; will compete at State level on 13th Oct

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 11 Oct 2017: Students of New Shams English Medium School Bhatkal and Shams English Medium School showed excellent display of intelligence at the Rural IT Quiz competition at Dharwad to bag secure Second and fourth place respectively. Of 555 teams that participated at the competition only top six teams were to qualify for the state level competition that will be held at Tumkur on 13^th October 2017. Team New Shams School represented by Farhan Akrami and Amanulla Donna, will now participate at the state level competition. Another team from Bhatkal, Anand Ashram Convent PU College secured the first place in the competition.  New Shams School was reportedly leading the leader boards until a incorrect answer in the final round deducted their 50 points  to bring them down on the runner’s up position. Shams management in its official statement expressed its happiness over the achievement of their students and wished them luck for the state level event.
