Bhatkal: Shabandri Mohammed Shafi elected new president of Jamatul Muslimeen, Abdul Mateen Muniri elected VP

Bhatkal: 28 December,2025 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Jamatul Muslimeen Bhatkal has elected its new office-bearers for the three-year term following the constitution of its Majlis-e-Muntazima through the general election held on November 27, 2025.

The election process, conducted earlier last month, had resulted in the selection of 20 members to the Majlis-e-Muntazima, the local administrative body of the organisation. After the formation of the committee, the office-bearers were elected on December 28.

According to the official announcement, Shabandri Mohammed Shafi Patel, popularly known as Shafi Master, has been elected as President of Jamatul Muslimeen Bhatkal. Maulana Abdul Mateen Muniri has been chosen as First Vice-President, while Maulana Muhammad Hussain Jukaku Nadvi has been elected Second Vice-President. Syed Arshad S.M. has been appointed as Third Vice-President.

Mohiyuddin Ruknuddin Kochappa has been elected as General Secretary. Maulana Rahmatullah Ruknaddin Nadvi will serve as Secretary, while Maulana Syed Ahmed Salik Barmawar Nadvi has been appointed as Assistant Secretary. Maulana Muhammad Usama Siddiqui Nadvi has been elected as Treasurer, and Mohammed Sadiq Pillor has been appointed as Auditor.

The newly elected body will oversee the organisation’s religious, social and administrative affairs for the next three years.
