Bhatkal: Seven arrested while playing gambling on Sagar road

Bhatkal 26 July 2018: (Bhatkallys New Bureau) Bhatkal police on Wednesday arrested seven person while playing 'Andar-Bahar' gambling game at Sagar road of Bhatkal on 25 July. The detained have been identified as Timmappa Naik (30) of Hanuman Nagar, Hanumath Naik (30) of Murdeshwar, Eshwar Moger (30) of Murdeshwar, Timmappa Moger (34) of Basti, Gururaj Naik (39) of Shirali, Joseph Louis (36) of Shirali, Raymond Tellis (40) of Murdeshwar. As per the sources, the accused were playing gambling at a deserted place on Sagar road of Bhatkal, upon noticing Bhatkal PSI Basavraj S raided the spot and arrested the seven. The police also seized cash worth Rs. 12,200/- , a pack of 52 cards and waste papers from the spot during the raid. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Town Police station.
