Bhatkal: SDPI Protest against Myanmar Genocide

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 14 Sept 2017: Dozens of activists of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) staged a demonstration in Bhatkal on Wednesday to condemn the alleged violence and discrimination against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar and the Silence of Nobel peace prize recipient Aung San Suu Kyi , who is widely recognized as the de facto ruler of Myanmar. “Stop Rohingya Genocide”, “Stop killing Muslims in Burma” read the banners. The protesters also submitted a memorandum to the UN secretary through the Assistant Commissioner (AC) seeking the intervention of UN in the matter, and helping the Rohingya Muslims. The demonstration was led by the Bhatkal unit leaders of SDPI, the demonstrators also alleged the Myanmar government of making false allegations against the Rohingya Muslims in a bid to push them out of the country. Yousuf Mulla, Zaheer, Azeem, Sarfaraz Khan and others were present during the demonstration.
