Bhatkal: 'Resolve garbage issue by 25th October' Firdous Nagar residents to Panchayath president

Bhatkal 13 Oct 2017: Members of Firdous welfare association today held a meeting with Heble Panchayath officials to discuss the issue of garbage dumping in their limits and submitted a memorandum to the Panchayath president N.D Moger demanding to resolve the issue before 25th October 2017.
Members of Al-Firdous welfare association threatened to escalate the issue to MLA Mankal Vaidya on 25th October, reportedly when the MLA is set to visit the locality for a sports event.
N.D Moger assured the people of resolving the issue and claimed the work is already under progress and they are awaiting the final approval for a sanctioned dump yard to start door to door pick up services of garbages on daily basis.
Moger, further requested people to use bio-gas system at home and to avoid dumping the garbage on the streets. He further said people of other locality too are taking their garbage into the Panchayath limits to dump it.
