Bhatkal: Residents voice support for MLA Mankal Vaidya

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 01 August 2017: Residents of Bhatkal Taluka’s Bengre Panchayath area called a press conference and slammed the opposition parties for trying to spoil the name of MLA Mankal Vaidya, after the opposition parties had recently alleged MLA Mankal Vaidya of helping his known and aides in getting the compensation by IRB Company for installing rock crushers in the area which the residents had been opposing over the years.

The Details:

The IRB Company of Mumbai had installed rock crushers in Bengre two years back, after which te residents had complained about the same to the higher authorities claiming several losses to them including infertility of their lands. The residents had then claimed compensation for the same. With the help of MLA Mankal Vaidya, the residents had started getting their amounts of compensation from the IRB company in groups. People then blamed the Panchayath agents who were responsible for distributing the amounts, of carrying out a scam and not distributing the money fairly. They had further alleged them of corruption as well. Once again MLA Mankal Vaidya was approached and he ordered IRB Company to handover the amount directly to the beneficiaries and had asked for no involvement of any third party agents. The Opposition parties had recently targeted MLA Mankal Vaidya by alleging that he had helped his known and aides in getting their compensation and blamed him of not worrying about the others who were yet to get the compensation. Clarifying the issue the residents themselves called a press conference today and cleared the air surrounding the matter and slammed opposition parties of playing dirty politic against the MLA. The residents hailed MLA of completely co-operating with them Justly and ruled out talks of partial support to anyone by the MLA.
