Bhatkal residents submits memorandum to Tahsildar regarding water scarcity

Bhatkal - 20 Apr 2012: Residents of several low-lying areas of Bhatkal including Farooqui Street, Showkat Ali Road, Alwa Mohalla are suffering from water shortage since from many days. The water supplied by municipality is not clean and adequate. When their grievances were unnoticed by municipal authorities, they decided to submit a memorandum to Tahsildar. Mr Fayyaz Mulla led the protest rally to Tahsildar office and submitted the memorandum demanding immediate solutions to their problems. It is also mentioned in the memorandum that, few days back Tahsildar has called a meeting of govt officials to discuss water shortage problem, in that meeting, municipality officials ignored the fact and said there is no water shortage problem in the town which is not true. They requested Tahsildar to get correct information and make arrangement for clean drinking water.
