Bhatkal: November 21, 2020 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The construction work of National Highway in Bhatkal has been in full swing for the last few days and work has been started on both sides of Bhatkal taluka while the work of land acquisition in the town is almost complete. Meanwhile, after the construction of the highway in Bhatkal, there is a strong possibility of difficulty in accessing the Railway Station Road in Usman Nagar from Qidwai Road. In this regard, The locals are demanding construction of an underpass on the highway between these roads and talks are also being held with the Highway Authority and the taluka administration. In this regard, a press conference was also held today in which the demands were pushed for the underpass and it was said that if the underpass was not constructed here, the people would have to make a big detour to cross the highway. People said that residents of Usman Nagar and Gulmi have to frequently travel to market, municipality, school and the people in the town have to travel to railway station. In this case, if the underpass is not built here, crossing the highway can be a grave risk. Therefore, if an underpass is built between these two roads connecting the town, a big problem of public would be solved. The people present on the occasion have threatened for huge protests against the non-acceptance of this demand and have  appealed to public institutions to cooperate in their demands.
