Bhatkal: Rains continue to bother locals; another house damaged as tree falls down

Bhatkal 10 June 2018: As heavy rain continued to batter Bhatkal Taluka on Saturday, another house was reportedly damaged after a huge tree fell onto it here at Mutalli Panchayat limits of Bhatkal Taluk on Saturday 10 June 2018. The total loss has been estimated to be over 20,000/- while the house belongs to Manju Naik of Mutalli locality. Over the last few days, several incidents of trees falling on houses, roads and other public and private properties have been reported across the Taluka. However the rain that has been recorded this year is comparatively higher than the previous year. Already most of the regions have been flooded while the rain in the region is expected to continue for next few days according to meteorological department of the state.
