Bhatkal: PUC First results announced, Science stream of Anjuman girls college secure 100% pass percentage

Bhatkal 19 March 2018: The results of annual examination of First Pre-University College (PUC) which was held earlier this month was announced on Sunday March 18.
According to the official press release issued by the Principal of Anjuman PU College for women, Science stream had the best performance this year among all the three streams with 100% pass percentage, followed by Commerce (98%) and Arts (89%).
A total of 79 Students appeared for the examination from Science stream out of which 14 secured Distinction marks 46 secured First class marks, while 17 and 02 students secured II and III class marks giving the college 100% results from the stream.
Similarly 158 Students from Commerce stream appeared for the examination of which 156 managed to pass the examination with 04 Distinctions, 91 First class, 41 II class and 20 III class while 02 students will have to re-write the examinations.
From Art Stream 113 students appeared for examination of which 96 students cleared the exams in the first go with 04 Distinctions, 29 First class, 27 II class and 36 III class while 17 students will take the re-examination in a bid to clear it.
The overall college performance of Anjuman PU college for Women was a healthy pass percentage of 94.5 with 350 students appearing for the examination a total of 331 students passed with 22 Distinctions, 166 First Class, 85 II class and 58 III class while 19 students will appear for re-examinations later.
From Science Stream, Khadija Zuha D/o Abdul Rahman Ruknuddin topped the ranks charts with 96.33%, while Mythillia Nayak D/o Jagadeesh Nayak (92.33%) and Tanzeefa Mahak D/o Noor Mohd Khan(91.83%) topped Commerce and Arts streams respectively.
Meanwhile in Anjuman Boys PU College, a total of 218 students appeared for the examination from all the three streams combined of which 147 students managed to pass the examinations with 25 I Class, 26 II Class and 96 III class. The overall college percentage remained 67.43%.
Abdul Ruman Maniyarn topped the Arts chart with 64.80%, while Musa Siddibapa (83.50%) and Huzaifa Yaman Adriole (76.50%) topped Commerce and Science stream respectively.
