Bhatkal: PU college student killed in accident on Jali road

Bhatkal 16 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) In a tragic road accident, a 2nd year Pre-university student succumbed to critical head injuries after his bike collided with a pick-up tempo here at Jali road of Bhatkal on Tuesday, October 16. The deceased has been identified as Akilesh Moger (17), a resident of Karikal of Bhatkal. According to the reports, Akhilesh a student of New English PU College was on his way to home, while a heavy rain prompted him to speed up his bike, the low visibility due to rain resulted in collision with an Tata Ace vehicle coming from the other direction. The impact of the accident left Akilesh with severe head injuries and he succumbed to the injuries while being taken to the a Manipal hospital on ambulance. The body was then shifted to Government hospital of Bhatkal for post Mortem. A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
