Bhatkal: Protests against poor conditions of sewage in Sonarkiri

Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 09 Sept 2017: Residents of Sonarkiri area of Bhatkal on Saturday protested against the poor conditions and leakages in the sewage in their area, which has been troubling them for sometime now. Protesters also claimed the leak in sewage had become reason for many drinking water wells being unusable. Residents blamed of not acting even after several complaints by them, the leakage has been the reason of several diseases including dengue to spread, school going students were also affected by this because the leakage area falls on the way of school going students. The Municipal officials after the protests immediately reacted and called a team of cleaners to start the cleaning work.
