Bhatkal: Procession from Anjumanabad on January 3 to mark beginning of Centenary celebrations

Bhatkal 29 December 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal on Saturday called a press conference and briefed about the centenary celebrations and its preparations, here at Jukaku Shamsuddin Memorial administrative building at Anjumanabad Bhatkal. “It is now a century since Anjuman’s inception and in order to highlight its contribution in spreading education not only in the district of Uttara Kannada but also in surrounding areas, Anjuman has decided to celebrate the hundred years of its yeoman service in the field of education” added a press release from the organization during the press conference. “The occasion will give an opportunity to obtain feedback from its beneficiaries so that Anjuman set its goals for future growth and development” it further added. The celebrations will commence on January 3, with a procession highlighting Anjuman’s contribution in the field of education, it procession will be led between 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm starting from Anjuman Abad campus. The January 3, procession will be followed by main inaugural function on January 5, between 9 am to 12.30 pm wherein Karnataka CM, HD Kumaraswamy will be the chief guest, while other prominent personalities and ministers including RV Deshpande, UT Khader, B Zameer Ahmed Khan, MLA Sunil Naik, Mankal Vaidya and others are expected to be present. The event will also be attended by Hazarath Moulana Ghulam Mohammad Vastanvi, President of Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Ullom. On January 6, a function exclusively for ladies will be organised starting 9. Am wherein prominent ladies will address the gathering. Anjuman staffs both male and female, who have served the organization for long dedicated services and rank holders will be felicitated on January 5 and 6 respectively for male and females. On January 6 evening Nawayath Mehfil will organize a cultural program themed “Gazgazti Raat” wherein skits and programs will be performed by students promoting the Nawayath culture and heritage. The centenary celebrations are planned to extend over the whole year of 2019, wherein seminars, workshops, exhibitions, trade fair related to education and sports tournaments will be organised.
