Bhatkal: Police's crackdown on Matka gambling continues, another man arrested

Bhatkal 9 October 2019: Continuing the crackdown on Matka gambling in the town, local police arrested another man at Sharadahole of Shirali on Tuesday afternoon allegedly while he was playing Matka. The accused has been identified as Gururaj Naik (23) a resident of Shirali. Working on tip-off the police raided the spot where Gururaj was playing the gamble game and detained him as he was involved in issuing matka numbers to the public. The police also seized a sum of Rs. 915/- from him. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Rural police station.
