Bhatkal Police seizes valuable idols in a raid conducted at Murdeshwar Hotel

Bhatkal - 05 July 2012: Bhatkal police succeeded in arresting five thieves trying to smuggle stolen idols in a raid conducted here at Murdeshwar Hotel. The arrested have been identified as Habeeb Mohiddin (45) from Sultan Street, Saleem Mohammed Gouse (35) from Ghousia Street, Rajesh Rao (39) from Kundapur, Manjunath Radhakrishna Shet (38) and Ahemd Abdul (38).

According to the sources, on a reliable tip-off, Bhatkal police under the leadership of DySP Mr M Narayan conducted a raid at a Hotel where some people were planning to smuggle two precious idols worth rupees 25 lakh and seized the stolen idols.

A case has been registered in Murdeshwar police station and the investigation is going on.
