Bhatkal Police holds peace meet ahead of Eid-ul-Adha

Bhatkal - On the eve of Eid-ul-Adha, Bhatkal Police has conducted peace meet here at Circuit House in which leaders from all community and organizations were invited. Speaking on the occasion Mr Naveen Kumar, In-charge AC extended Eid Greetings to Muslims and said, 'Our Muslim brothers are going to celebrate Eid on Wednesday, so we have to take all possible preventive measures to maintain peace and communal harmony in the town.' He also directed police to keep strict vigil on miscreants and take stringent action against trouble makers.

Bhatkal DySP Mr N Narayan said, 'Islam is a peaceful religion and its followers also love peace and harmony, so we hope they will celebrate Eid with peace.' More police force will be deployed to maintain law and order in the town during Eid, he added.

On this occasion several leaders including TMC President Inayatullah Shabandri, BJP Bhatkal Unit President Mr Krishna Naik, Atikaram Horata Samiti President Mr Rama Moger, Tanzeem President Dr Badrul Hasan Muallim, Tanzeem General Secretary Mr S M Syed Parvez, Mr Abdul Raqeeb MJ, Jali Panchayath VP Mr Medical Abdul Salam were present.
