Bhatkal police hold peace meet ahead of Marihabba and Eid-ul-Fitr

July 21, 2014 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: In a bid to bolster bonds between the two communities and to avoid any toward situation on the occasion of Marihabba and Eid-ul-Fitr, the police department of Bhatkal held a peace meet at IB office today morning which saw participation of the district's SP and Bhatkal's DSP. Appealing to both the communities to maintain peace and harmony, District SP R Dilip said that the police has made arrangements from their side and is keeping an eye on the miscreants using modern technology. On this occasion, discussions were also held on stray cattle roaming on the roads and instructions were given to keep them tied. - ARF
