Bhatkal Police felicitates auto-driver who returned bag and gold ornament left behind by passenger

Bhatkal 15 October 2019: Bhatkal Police on Monday felicitated a auto-driver after he returned gold ornaments woth Rs. more than three lakhs which was left behind in his auto by a passenger. Anappa Mangala Gonda, a resident of Konar in Bhatkal Taluka on Monday afternoon dropped Jayanti Moger from a private hospital of Bhatkal to Belke before noticing a bag which had a gold ornament and other important documents left behind by the woman inside the auto rickshaw. Annappa then reported the incident to Bhatkal Town Police Station. The police then contacted the woman passenger using her details mentioned on PAN card that was in the bag and handed over the bag and gold ornament to her. Bhatkal ACP Nikhil B. Felicitated the rickshaw driver for his honest duty. Auto driver union President Krishna Naik and other police personnel were present during the felicitation program.
