Bhatkal: Police constable killed on the spot in a road accident

Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 18 Aug 2017: Ramachandra (29) a constable in Moodakeri police and a resident of Murudeshwara of Bhatkal Taluka was killed in a road accident near Gummana Hakla NH66 area of Murudeshwar on Thursday night while he was returning after finishing his duty. According to the sources, an Innova car (KA. 30 M3705) collided with Ramachandra's bike around 10.00 pm on Thursday night resulting in on the spot death of the victim. The said Innova car was on its way from Bhatkal to Honnavar when the incident took place. Speaking to Bhatkallys.com over the phone, the Murdeshwar police informed, the Innova car and the driver Mujahir Noor s/o Shaikh Noorul Hassan, a resident of Mulki near Mangaluru is taken into custody, currently the body of the victim is at Government Hospital Murdeshwar for Post-Mortem after which it will be handed over to the family. A case has been registered at Murudeshwar Police station and Police is investigating the case.
