Bhatkal police conducts peace march amidst Ter Habba

Bhatkal - 12 April 2011: Today is the last day of Bhatkal Ter Habba which is underway since 2 days. The Ter Habba will conclude today evening after Ter procession. The traditional Ter procession will begin from Chinnapattana Hanumath Devasthan after seeking permission from Chirkin family members. It will end at the starting point after passing through flower market, main road and car street.

Meanwhile Bhatkal police conducted peace march in the town to maintain law and order. The march was began from Bhatkal town police station and after passing through Sonarkeri, Eidgah road, Shamsuddin circle and main road, concluded at the same place.

Speaking on this occasion, Bhatkal DySP Mr M Narayan said that in the view of Ter Habba, additional security arrangements have been made in the town. As a part of this, 2 DySP, 17 PSI, 24 ASI, 266 Police constables and Traffic policeman have been deployed in the town. Apart from this, CCTV cameras were also installed at several places to keep strict vigil on anti-social elements. He appealed the people to maintain peace during this festival.
