Bhatkal Police conducts important meeting with Mobile and Internet Cafe owners

Bhatkal - 29 Sep 2011: Bhatkal police conducted an important meeting with the owners of cyber cafe and mobile shop and discussed the ways to prevent crimes and misuse of internet and mobile phones. The meeting was held here at Hafizka Memorial Hall, above Urban Bank, Bhatkal.

The meeting was attended by nearly 250 people from Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna, Manki and Shirali.

Addressing the gathering, Bhatkal DySP, Mr M Narayan advised mobile shop owners to collect necessary identity documents from the customers while selling new sim cards. He also warned cyber cafe owners against illegal activities in their cyber shops like watching porn movies, nude photographs and other cyber crimes and directed them to prevent such activities. He said, 'If any such complaints are received from any shop, the police will conduct surprise raid and take legal actions against those involved in such activities.'

The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Shrikant (CPI, Kumta). Bhatkal CPI, Shiv Prakash compered.
