Bhatkallys News Bureau Bhatkal 13 Dec 2017: The officials of police department and district administration are on their toes from last one week, as a result of the communal clashes sparked after the alleged murder of the 21 years old youth in Honavar. On Wednesday heavy security forces were deployed throughout Murdeshwar and Shirali, as the social media was abuzz with reports claiming the right wing organizations calling bandh and protest in the town despite prohibitory orders from the Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul. The deployment of the security forces made sure no untoward incident takes place. Earlier on Tuesday miscreants pelted stones and burnt tyres in the Muslim residential area but the quick response from the police department and locals brought the situation under control. The police and District administration are clear with their intent to foil all the attempts of disturbing law and order in the district. The police is also keeping a eye on social media as several cases against individuals have been booked for posting discriminatory posts and hatred messages. IG Western Range Hemanth Nimbalkar also visited Bhatkal and inspected police preparations and security arrangements. English report: I. Zaorez Shabab
