Bhatkal: People angered over slashing the quantity of ration by state government

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal 21 March 2017: People of Maghdoom Colony Bhatkal Suspected an scam on the Ration shop owner when the monthly Ration was distributed in half of the regular quantity. People were quick enough to call Media on the scene, with their minds set on exposing the scam, when the owner of the ration shop distributed 15kgs of rice to locals against the regular quantity of 25kgs set by the state government. When the Media inquired with the shop owner he claimed it to be instruction from the state government across the state to distribute lesser ration for this month due to the drought being faced by the farmers across the state affecting the productivity. The media then turned to the local food inspector to get the details, who claimed himself to be out of station but confirmed that the state government has instructed all the ration shop owners to distribute lesser quantity of ration for this month.
