Bhatkal: News Shams school students visits Kaiga Nuclear Plant in Karwar for one-day educational tour

Bhatkal 2 September 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Students of New Shams School Bhatkal on Saturday visited the Kaiga Nuclear Power Plant at Karwar for one-day educational tour on September 1. Over 150 students of 9th and 10th grade along with their teachers toured the Nuclear Plant, where senior scientist of the plant Shanbagh, explained the working of the nuclear plant and also gave them important information about it. Students also attended the Questions and Answer sessions with the scientist where in they asked several questions which were answered by the scientists of the plant. The scientists too expressed their gratitude on the students visiting the plant and said “More students should visit the plant and help us kill all the myths regarding nuclear power plants, so that we can create more such plants in order for country to develop”. Students also appreciated the efforts of the officials of the plant wherein they explained the working of the plant with a model, students also thanked the management of the school for arranging such a trip and said they cleared several of their doubts about nuclear plants during the visit. School secretary Talha Siddibapa termed the trip as ‘one of a kind in Bhatkal’ and said the school management stresses more about giving exposure to the students practically and that these trips plays an important role in the development of the students. Raza Manvi, Moulana Abdus Subhan, Shazir Hussain and others were present during the tour along with students and school secretary. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
