Bhatkal: New Shams School organizes Islamic exhibition

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ I. Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 18 Aug 2017: New Shams School Bhatkal organized an two day's theme based exhibition, with the theme being 'From the roots of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)'. With barely few days remaining before we enter the sacred month of Dhul Hijjah. The official statement from the school read "The exhibition was mainly named after Prophet Ibrahim (AS) because he championed the concept of monotheism which enhanced the understanding of the concept of 'ONE GOD' and also the importance of values such as patience, obedience and endurance." The exhibition was organized on 16th and 17th of August 2017, wherein students from several schools of the Bhatkal including Ali Public school (APS), Beena Vaidya School Murdeshwar and others were invited. The works in various sections included oral presentations, models, charts and maps rooting from the Islamic history mainly from the period of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) by the students ranging from 5th graders to 10th graders. Along with the students from several schools, parents too enthusiastically queued up the Syed Ali campus of the School to witness the work of the students. In a video released on the school's official Facebook page, parents, students and teachers of visiting schools can be seen applauding the work and efforts of the students with some words of praise.
