Bhatkal 12 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Residents of Nawayath colony locality which falls under the jurisdiction of Jali Patan Panchayath have been complaining about the muddy water they are being supplied alleging that the water is being supplied directly from the Kadvinkatte dam without filtering. Jali Patan Panchayath however cleared that the area falls under its jurisdiction but the water supply however in that particular locality is undertaken by TMC. "Forget drinking, the water cannot even be used to wash clothes" said Abubaker, a resident of Nawayath Colony. In a similar case another residents of Kargedde also complained the same about the water supply for last few days. When contacted, TMC President Sadiq Matta said "The damaged pipes of water supply system are being replaced in few areas and that is the reason the dirt and mud are mixed up in the regular water that we supply, we will look into this and resolve it on priority".
