Bhatkal: Nasir Murder case; Bhatkal JMFC court sends accused wife to 15 days custody along with her five year old girl child

Bhatkallys News Service/ I Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 18 February 2017: Bhatkal JMFC Court on Saturday sent the accused wife of Nasir, who was murdered yesterday at his residence on 15 days custody. Her five years old girl child was also sent with her after the accused asked for the custody of her child. Nasir (36), a resident of Moulana Azad road of Bhatkal was murdered yesterday at his own residence by his wife, allegedly because of him marrying another lady some 45 days back. Initially the police investigated whole scene as a suicide case but later on suspicion and upon further investigation his wife confessed to the crime at the town police station Bhatkal, following which she was produced before the judge today. The Family of Nasir, while speaking to Bhatkallys.com staff claimed that the accused was not in good terms with Nasir, following his second marriage and had threatened Nasir before the second marriage of dire consequences if he would marry any other lady. They also claimed all his savings and gold ornaments were missing. A family member of Nasir also claimed that the accused was spotted in bank a couple of days before the murder and alleges may be she had transferred all his saving into her account prior to killing him. One of the Nephew of the victim, who was the first person to reach the crime scene, informed Bhatkallys.com, when he reached the crime scene Nasir was still alive taking few of his last breaths and raised his finger and directed it towards his wife claiming that she was responsible for ‘everything’. The post-mortem reports cleared that the victim was given sleeping pills before his death and hence couldn’t do much to save himself. However police in its investigation found few wounds and scratches on the neck of the accused, and hence the nails from the body were taken as samples to investigate it further by the police. The family of Accused also reached the town late at night from their village near Shivmoga after getting the information of the incident. While speaking to Bhatkallys.com staff the brother of the accused claimed that the family was completely unaware of any feud between the couple and also admitted that the couple would regularly call them fortnightly and speak to the family members, while everything looked fine between them. Later the family also refused to meet and speak with the accused and said the incident has brought to an end all the relationship between the family and the accused. Nasir, on the other hand who was employed at a local aluminum shop, married his second wife in a bid to have a child since he couldn’t have an child with his first wife as she was a victim of burns in her childhood. The five year old girl child who was staying with the couple is claimed to be that of a cousin of the accused, however the court has asked for clarity about the child’s biological parents and has allowed her to stay with the accused until then. The final rights of the deceased were performed as late as 2.30 am on Saturday. The accused was being taken to Karwar Jail at around 5.00 pm from Bhatkal JMFC court accompanied by 2 ASI ranked officers and a few lady police officials. ASI confirmed to Bhatkallys.com that the court had initially sent the accused on 15 days custody and that the police would seek further custody.
