Bhatkal: Nagraj Naik elected new Chairman of Jali Patan Panchayath standing committee

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ I. Zaorez Shabab Bhatkal 24 Nov 2017: Jali Patan Panchayath standing committee on Friday elected Nagraj Naik as the chairman of the committee for next 11 months. Nagraj replaced Adam Panambur as the chairman who completed his term as the chairman recently. The position was contested by two candidates, Nagraj and Bilal Qamri, both the candidates secured five votes each. As per the rules Jali Patan Panhchayath president Abdul Rahim Shaikh, ordered a draw with both the candidate's names in the lot,  a random chit was picked out by the Jali Patan Panchayath vice president which reflected the name of Nagraj Moger. Speaking to media, Abdul Rahim Shaikh, had words of praise for Adam Panambur and wished Nagraj for a successful term, while showing confidence in him.
