Bhatkal Muslim Khaleej Council delegation meets AC, DySP; discusses range of local issues

Bhatkal: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A delegation of Bhatkal Muslim Khaleej Council (BMKC) led by its Secretary-General Atiqur Rahman Muniri met Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Mamata Devi and Deputy Superintendent of Police Belliappa on Monday here at the AC’s office. Bringing the core issues of the town to AC’s notice, the delegation submitted a memorandum and urged her to take up the issue and resolve it at the earliest. Among the issues that were discussed were the NH 66 expansion work, Underground Drainage work, shifting of fish market, garbage disposal, and others. The delegation also urged DySP Belliappa to deploy traffic police personnel between BSNL and Nawayath Colony till the completion of NH 66 widening work to avoid road mishaps and accidents due to traffic congestion. Mamata Devi assured the delegation of taking note of all their concerns and also provided a first-hand explanation of their issues. Former Secretary-General of BMKC Yunus Kazia, Mohammed Yaseen Askiri, Mohammed Sadiq Pillor, Abdul Sami Kola, Abdul Aleem Kazia, Habibullah Mohtesham, Javeed Kola and others were present during the meeting.
